Helen Parmenter

Helen Parmenter, Bsc (Hons), is an occupational therapist who has worked within medium and low secure forensic services for 9 years. Helen was introduced to the VdT Model of Creative Ability within her first-year post qualification and was involved in helping to embed the model within the services she worked in after finding the model an inspiring and practical approach to occupational therapy service delivery. Helen has recently joined the foundation team and is motivated to help support other occupational therapists using the model to increase their confidence and implementation of the VdT Model of Creative Ability and develop CPD opportunities. Helen has recently moved job roles to a post within Specialist CAMHS and is looking forward to exploring the use of the VdT Model of Creative Ability within this new setting.

    Opportunities for networking

In terms of ideas for the new website, does anyone have any ideas around creating opportunities for networking - particularly around interacting with clinicians working within a similar field of practice. We have opportunities for those within forensic services through the Special Interest Group (SIG) - however, I am just mindful of clinicians working other areas, or perhaps those working in isolation.

How could we create opportunities to interact remotely?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

    Tori.
