A short document capturing useful descriptions of many of the key principles of the VdTMoCA that will assist the understanding of the occupational therapy practitioner. These include Motivation and Action, Creative Response, Creative Capacity, Creative Ability, Activity Participation. The classification, characteristics and therapeutic grading of the four basic components that make up a patient’s world are considered in order to suggest how the occupational therapist can use herself therapeutically and construct treatment. These are Materials, Objects, People and Situations (MOPS). The concept of task and task fulfilment is explained with sequential stages described.
