This is a comprehensive text book consisting of the following three parts: 

Part 1 - The initial chapter provides a comprehensive description of the VdT Model of Creative Ability, gving details of the theoretical concepts, assessment, the levels of creative ability, treatment priorities, treatment principles and grading. It discusses the relevance of occupational science to the profession, considers ethics, human rights, legal and cultural considerations in mental health. This part concludes with clinical reasoning in psychiatric occupational therapy. 

Part 2 - The book then focuses on specific issues in occupational therapy, including, HIV/AIDS, forensic, acute, community and long term mental heath setting. It also includes OT in vocational rehabilitation, medico-legal sectors and sexuality. 

Part 3 - The final part focuses on a wide range of specific OT interventions applied with a variety of diagnosis and clinical settings. 

Whilst the initial chapter purely focuses on the VdT Model of Creative Ability it is referred to throughout the book.
