Application of Theory of Creative Ability as Applied to the Physical Field

By Geerthsen, E

A brief case study of a 27 year old patient with C7 quadriplegia following a spinal injury.  Descriptions of the patient on admission identified him at the tone level of creative ability.  The therapist’s interactions and subsequent progress of the patient are reported through the levels of self-differentiation, self-presentation and passive participation.  This provides a descriptive insight into the physical and emotional progression of a patient with a spinal cord injury and associated treatment activities and opportunities provided by the therapist for each level of creative ability.
